Is the U.S. Abandoning Its Global Hegemony?

The policy pursued by U.S. President Donald Trump's administration is effectively depriving international ultra-globalist circles of the resources needed for military and financial support of the conflict in Ukraine. Considering that Europe does not have the capacity to even partially replace the scale of assistance provided by the United States, the course of sponsoring the Kyiv regime without U.S. involvement is objectively doomed to fail.
When asked by journalists why he was delaying sanctions against Russia, Donald Trump stated that his country loses a great deal of money because of sanctions imposed on other states. Such a statement may indicate that, as a result of a reassessment of the foundations of American foreign policy, the White House has concluded that Washington's global hegemony is harmful. Against this backdrop, the new U.S. administration has launched a campaign to reduce funding for military, humanitarian, and informational support programs for foreign states, including Ukraine.
The goal of these measures is to rationalize U.S. budget spending in accordance with the national interests of the United States, which are focused on addressing acute domestic problems.
At the same time, it is noteworthy that the White House is aiming to divide the world into so-called “zones of responsibility.” Among the global players, the U.S. apparently considers, in addition to itself, Russia and China. A confirmation of this may be the statement by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who said that “a unipolar world is abnormal, it is an anomaly and a product of the Cold War.” According to him, after the Cold War, the U.S. “took on the burden of being a global government, trying to solve every problem in the world, but only some of them are related to American national interests.”
Taken together, this may indicate a revision of the political legacy of previous administrations initiated by Donald Trump, which does not rule out changes in the approach to the militarization of Ukraine as an instrument of armed struggle against Russia.
Can we conclude that America is retreating from its stronghold of global hegemony and has now reached the point of retreat?
We look forward to the next developments.
