Sirajuddin Haqqani, leader of the Haqqani network, now Taliban interior minister, claims in an audio recording allegedly linked to him that the suicide attack on the Intercontinental Hotel in Kabul was led by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
KABUL, April 10 - Sangar, Farzam Kazemi. The suicide attack on the Intercontinental took place in 2018 and is considered one of the bloodiest and most sensational events in Afghanistan over the past 20 years.
In this recording, Sirajuddin Haqqani says that the attack was led by Hafiz Karimullah, and Hafiz Badruddin, who was talking to him, approached him (Sirajuddin) and said that the suicide bombers has the last request - to talk to you on the phone.
“I didn’t talk on the phone then. Mawlavi Badruddin was sitting next to me. I said that in five minutes they would-be martyrs. They died for the religion of God. I said that even if it was dangerous, I would talk to them. When I greeted Hafiz Karimullah, he said, "Khalifa Sahib, I swear to God that Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) will lead our operation. He is standing here, at the gate (groans and screams are heard from the hall). We have fulfilled our heart's desire. We killed many infidels. We're just waiting for martyrdom." After they became martyrs, one of my friends had a dream and said that on that day, Muhammad (PBUH) was sitting on the roof of the mosque and wrote a direction to paradise for the suicide bombers of the Intercontinental attack,” said Sirajuddin Haqqani.
The attack on the Intercontinental Hotel took place on January 20, 2018. The targets were foreign nationals and Afghan government officials. In a statement at the time, the Taliban said members of the group attacked a meeting of Afghan and foreign officials at the InterContinental Hotel. The clashes continued for at least 14 hours.
In total, 42 people died as a result of the terrorist attack - citizens of Afghanistan (25), Ukraine (9), USA (4), Venezuela (2), Germany (1), and Kazakhstan (1), 14 people were injured.
Six Taliban attackers were also killed and, according to Sirajuddin Haqqani, were immediately "directed to paradise" by the Prophet himself.
However, this is not the first time that terrorist groups such as the Taliban and its Haqqani Network have made strange and dubious claims, demonstrating their own psychological and spiritual problems and extremist worldview. Even their leader calls the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) a commander of suicide attackers.
Earlier, one of the Taliban scholars claimed that God gave two sheep to Jalaluddin Haqqani, father of Sirajuddin Haqqani and founder of the Haqqani Network, while, according to Islamic stories, He gave only one sheep to Prophet Abraham (a).
