There is no end to the stories of how Ghani and the US betrayed the Afghan people and surrendered the country to international terrorism.
Author: Ahmad Shamoun, Colonel, Afghan National Security Directorate
There are many examples of the transfer of the security forces of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan by the government of Ashraf Ghani to the Taliban. This is the story of the surrender of Brigade 094 UNB to the IRA, which I myself witnessed.
I, Lieutenant Colonel Ahmad Shamun, Commander of the Security Unit of Brigade 094 of the National Security Directorate (NSD), at the same time Commander of the Security Unit of the Highest Ranks of the NSD, have always been an honest soldier and devoted to my country. I have many years of experience serving in various branches of the NSA, from commanding response units in different provinces to my most recent duties mentioned above. I have never shown the slightest negligence in the performance of my duties. Unfortunately, US traitors and mercenaries have handed over the government, army, and other security forces of Afghanistan, for which tens of thousands of young people of our homeland gave their lives, to the brutal terrorist group Taliban. They betrayed us and tens of thousands of honest and true sons of our country and left everyone to the mercy of fate. For a year and a half now, the Taliban have been ruthlessly cutting off the head, shooting and killing, without investigation or trial, former servicemen, from ordinary soldiers to generals. Inshaallah, they - traitors and mercenaries - will not run away from answering the people both in this and in the next life. They will still answer to God.
I want to tell a story that I saw with my own eyes, and I consider it my duty to share it with my people.
As I have already noted, I performed my duties as the commander of the security unit of the National Security Directorate 094. In those days I was on vacation due to family problems. I noticed that the situation is changing dramatically. At 4 pm on August 15, the day Kabul fell, I arrived at the location of my brigade. I was responsible for guarding posts within Brigade 094, as well as the premises of the National Security Directorate’s Training centre and other parts of several directorates. I was also in charge of the 50 security posts that oversaw the security of the current leaders of the Taliban who were in Kabul at the time under the pretense of a false reconciliation process with the Republican government.
The personnel of the security detachment under my command was about 900 people. On that day, 300 people were on duty inside the brigade. Having strengthened our combat positions and equipment, we made the necessary preparations for the defense of the territory of the brigade. At the same time, I went into the office of the brigade commander, Major General Nurullakhan. He firmly instructed us to strengthen control and prepare for defense.
And he himself reminded that he was waiting for instructions from the leadership of the NSD. I went out to get acquainted with the preparations of the posts located around the brigade. When I approached one of the posts around the headquarters of the brigade, from there they transmitted to the headquarters through the radio that commander Shamun was approaching. Then from the headquarters of the brigade, they ordered the soldiers at the post to shoot at me! I was amazed and couldn't believe my ears! My commander ordered me to be destroyed. I heard everything with my ears on the combat radio in my hand. I quickly hid and ordered my staff through my cell phone to stay alert. It was a conspiracy. So I saved myself from death. I realized that the brigade commander and his deputies colluded with the enemy forces and hand in hand took up the plan to destroy me.
I gathered my confidants and moved to the headquarters of the brigade.
When I arrived at the headquarters and entered the personal office of the brigade commander, the plan of the fifth column of the NSD to destroy me again failed. The order was from brigade commander Nurullakhan, and the executors were Lieutenant Malang and Major Katur Faraji (close relatives and cousins). Prior to this incident, it was these two who staged such attacks three times to kill me.
When I entered their office with my men, I saw Lieutenant General Nurullakhan, Major General Rahmatullah, Brigadier General Qudduskhan, Lieutenant General Malang Pashtun, Lieutenant General Daoud Helmandi, and several atypical lieutenants who were sitting waiting for news of my death. When they saw me, they were frightened and immediately got up from their seats. Since they had nothing to say, they offered me a huge amount of money to stop me. I and my companions shouted at them and asked why they started such a plot. Everyone began to beg and said that we had no other choice. We have money for you and your people, take what you want and go out of here. I was very angry, so I shot in the direction of one of them so that everyone would be scared. I told them that traitors to the Motherland have no place here, and they must quickly get out of there.
But I had to give up my demand at the request of the brigade commander, General Nurullakhan. The deputy brigade commander, whom everyone hated for his ugly behavior with the personnel, apologized and said that the enemy surrounded the brigade, we would all be destroyed and we should leave the brigade.
The encirclement narrowed and the enemy sent everyone into a panic with scattered shots. We left the headquarters and settled down on another part of the brigade. On the other side was a road where the enemy could not be seen. Exactly at 23:00, under the next shots, we were the first to take the brigades of other soldiers out of the walls. Finally, at 12 noon, I went out with my people the same way. We traveled in private cars, and passing through dozens of enemy ambushes and roadblocks, we took our way to Panjshir, to the last bastion of the defense of the Motherland, and reached it by morning.
I will write in detail about my battle in Panjshir, the lines of defense from Khavak and Anjuman to the carelessness of some and the treachery of others at another moment.
