Mohammad Zubayr, the son of Mohammad Hasan, was born in 1361 (1982) in the Qasan valley of Andarab, Baghlan province. At the age of seven, he entered elementary school, and after graduating from the twelfth grade he joined the First Resistance under the leadership of Ahmadshah Massoud and fought on the front lines in Anjiristan, Khostu Firing and Siyahreg of the Nahrin district.
With the establishment of the republican regime, he was assigned to the special unit of the Security Directorate in the province of Kunduz, which carried out operations and tasks in 28 provinces of the country. After the disbandment of the said unit, Zubair was appointed as a unit commander in the rapid response unit of the Kandahar National Security Directorate. In the conditions of the most unsafe situation in terms of security in the areas of Panjwai, Jirai, Maivand, Ghurak, Maruf, and others, for 10 years he led and carried out the most complex anti-terrorist operations.
After that, in 2015, he was transferred to the province of Baghlan and was appointed commander of the special operations of the National Security Directorate. At that time, the war had just moved from the south to the north of the country in the Dandi Ghuri region of Baghlan.
Commander Zubair, with courage and responsibility, was able to perform the task entrusted to him well. The most important operations that Zubair conducted against the Taliban and other terrorist groups are as follows:
- Joint clean-up operation of Dandi Ghuri and Dandi Shahabuddin;
- operation in a factory in the Central Baghlan district;
- operation in Guzargohi Nur;
- the operation of the Tola va Barfak region and the strengthening of the people's militias;
- a joint operation of the Nahrin region;
- operation in the Dushahr dam of the city of Pul Khumri;
- Operations Hazhdah Kutal, etc...
With the collapse of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, the late commander left the center of Puli Khomri with two new Hilux vehicles of the National Security Administration and again, with the same unwavering determination and passion for the fight, went into battle with the Taliban in the Obi Safed area of the village of Kasatarash in the Qasan valley in Andarab and began the Second Resistance along with the first operation in the Qasan Valley against the Taliban. As a result of the cooperation of the people, resistance fighters captured three districts of Andarab at once - Dehsalah, Banu, and Puli Hisor.
When the Taliban regained control of Andarab, Commander Zubair acted under the name "Nameless Resistance Guerrilla" without appearing in the media, and he managed to survive several enemy attacks, inflicting many losses on them.
On July 14, 1401, the Taliban aggressors, whose number reached more than 7,500 people, began a hard and bloody war against the strongholds of resistance in Andarab. After the collapse of the front lines and continuous war for three days and nights, Commander Zubair fought the enemy to the last bullet. Being wounded in the arm area, finally, at four o'clock in the morning on July 17, 2022, he died killing seventeen militants from the aggressor's forces.
He was martyred at the age of 40, and his clean body was buried on the highest peak of the Hindu Kush - Kutali Rashak without a shroud and a funeral ceremony, due to the fact that the Taliban terrorists did not allow this.
May his soul and eternal memory be happy!
