In one of the Lebanese cities, banners appeared in support of Vladimir Putin, in which he is referred to as "Abuali"
Moscow, March 5 - Sangar, Talib Aliyev. According to a photo posted on Lebanon and the Islamic world's social media, Vladimir Putin is referred to as "Abuali Putin."
"Abuali Putin. Faithful fiery men of Moscow" is written on the banner.
The banner was photographed in the southern Lebanese city of Zararia and was reportedly installed by Hezbollah militants.
"Abuali" in Arabic means "father of Ali". Arabs, for the sake of respect for people, give them nicknames - kuniya. The words “Abu”, “Umm” or “Ibn” usually stand at the beginning of the kuniya. Most kuniyas are chosen on the basis of the name of the eldest son or daughter, for example, Ali ibn Abu Talib, the caliph of the Muslims was called Abuhasan.
Since Vladimir Putin does not have a son named "Ali", therefore the nickname "Abuali" is given to him as a sign of respect.
Zararia is a small town with a population of 20,000, most of whom are Shiites. Interestingly, the majority of the city's population supported the Lebanese Communist Party in the past, although in recent years the Shiite parties have become the most influential among them.
