A strong explosion occurred in the Iranian cultural and information center "Tebyan" in the city of Mazar-i-Sharif.

Mazar-i-Sharif, March 3 - Sangar, Qari Ahmad. Apparently, rivals in the Afghan arena have launched an undeclared war against the Islamic Republic.

Sangar's source in the police department of Mazar-i-Sharif reports that the explosion occurred during the celebration of the National Day of Journalists at about 9.30 am local time.

“In the city of Mazar-i-Sharif, a ceremony was being held to encourage journalists when the explosion occurred. As a result, many died and were injured. What caused the explosion - from a suicide bomber or from a planted mine - has not yet been established. Most likely, it was a planted mine. Our investigation team is currently working at the scene”, the source said.

According to this source, the death toll is 7 people, and the number of injured is 13 people. Other sources have published different numbers.

The Tebyan Cultural Information Center is associated with the Iranian Islamic Propaganda Organization (Sozioni Tabligoti Islomi Eron) and is engaged in educational and cultural activities in two cities of Afghanistan - Kabul and Mazar-i-Sharif. Among other things, it also helps journalists, including providing free Internet access and computer software.

The chairman of the Tebyan representative office in Mazar-i-Sharif is Seyyed Mohammad Mousavi, a resident of the Sarpul province.

On 27 December 2017, a major explosion occurred in the center of Tebyan in Kabul, killing 41 people and injuring 84 others.

Sayedisa Hosseini Mazari, the head of this cultural center in Afghanistan, is one of the people associated with Iranian intelligence and a staunch supporter of the Taliban. In one of his sermons in western Kabul, he declared his support for the Taliban and issued a fatwa that anyone who opposes the Taliban is an apostate and an infidel.

Some experts say there is an undeclared war going on in Afghanistan against Iran and pro-Iranian forces. In their opinion, a war of rivals of Iran, primarily the United States, is being waged by ISIS, which is supported by the pro-Pakistani Haqqani Network of the Taliban.

Two days ago, Mawlawi Daoud Muzammil, the governor of Balkh, who was known as one of the top pro-Iranian Taliban commanders, was killed in a suicide attack. ISIS claimed responsibility for this attack. Iran called it a "terrorist act."
