Afghan National Resistance Front forces ambushed Gujur fighters of Taliban* in the Khost and Firing districts.

HINDUKUSH, April 10 - Sangar, Hasib Sangar. These militants were supposed to go to the aid of the Taliban forces in the Qasan Valley, Deh Salah district of Baghlan province.

According to sources from the Resistance Front and the Taliban, the Sangar website correspondent, who is now located in the center of Deh Salah, reports that the attack took place at 17:00 in the Tangi Sachi area of Khost and Firing district.

“Resistance forces attacked the Taliban fighters and completely destroyed their vehicles, a Ranger and a Falankuch (a Japanese Toyota passenger carrier),” he said.

According to sources, as a result of the attack, three Taliban were killed and three wounded, the rest managed to escape. According to unconfirmed reports, one of the injured is Shabir Firingi, the head of the Taliban administration in the Khust and Firing region.

Tangii Sachi connects the Khost and Firing districts with the Andarab districts and is also a supply route for the Taliban.

The sources mention two names of the resistance commanders who set up the ambush: Turan Ahmad Shah and Kari Hasib. It is not clear whose group carried out the attack.

At the same time, according to these sources, all those in the cars were from the Gujur tribe, whose commander Haknavaz Gujur was also wounded or killed in the ambush. What happened to him is unknown, but Taliban sources say he has disappeared.

Gujurs are an ethnic group that speaks a language close to Urdu, and their homeland is the tribal zone of Afghanistan and Pakistan. They were transferred to northern Afghanistan at various times by the Pashtun rulers. They were mainly engaged in shephard activities.

The Gujurs have always supported the Taliban, even being called the "Taliban's Peshmergas". After 2001, Mohammad Dawood Dawood, the former deputy interior minister of Afghanistan, expelled them from the north and they returned to the tribal area. However, Afghan President Hamid Karzai brought them back to the north.

Meanwhile, fighting continued today in the Qasan valley of Deh Salah district of Baghlan province, and, according to the information of the National Resistance Front, their attack was repulsed. The Taliban left the battlefield again with four dead and several wounded.

The Taliban have been carrying out cleansing operations since April 6 in the Qasan valley of Andarabs, especially in the villages of Kasatarash, Pashai, and the Jar Valley, but have not been successful.
