A war between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Israel is no longer a joke. If serious measures are not taken to prevent it, the risk of its spread will be absolutely catastrophic.
I would like to offer you a comprehensive analysis of this issue.
The military conflict between Iran and Israel, which began five days ago, has become one of the most important geopolitical events in the region. Given the overt and covert support of world powers on both sides, this war has turned into not only a bilateral confrontation but also an international crisis.
Israel launched Operation Rising Lion, attacking more than 100 important sites in Iran, including nuclear facilities in Natanz and research centers in Isfahan. These attacks have resulted in the deaths of several senior Iranian commanders and nuclear scientists. Israel's main goal is considered to be the weakening of Iran's nuclear program and missile capabilities, although some analysts believe that regime change in Iran is also a major goal of Israel and the United States.
In response to these attacks, Iran launched missiles at the cities of Tel Aviv and Haifa, killing more than 50 people and injuring hundreds.
Meanwhile, Russia and China have announced diplomatic and military support for Iran. China has condemned Israel's attacks, calling them a clear violation of international law. Meanwhile, Russia is also using its close ties with Tehran to strengthen the position of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
On the other hand, US President Donald Trump has expressed hope in his recent statements that Iran and Israel will reach a peace agreement. He said, "Sometimes you have to fight to achieve peace," and stressed that the United States will not interfere in the conflict, but did not rule out the possibility of intervention if US interests are threatened. However, there are reports that Washington has provided military and financial assistance to Israel.
Given the international support on both sides, there is a risk of this conflict spreading to other regions of the Middle East. Despite Trump’s encouraging statements, as long as counterattacks continue and negotiations are interrupted, achieving short-term peace seems difficult.
If we draw a clear conclusion from this situation, it must be said that the conflict between Iran and Israel has reached a critical and very dangerous stage. Although efforts to mediate and de-escalate tensions are ongoing, achieving a lasting peace will be difficult, if not impossible, until hostilities cease and negotiations resume.
Now, if we look at our homeland, Afghanistan, we see that the continuation of this war may directly or indirectly affect Afghanistan as well. The most important possible consequences for Afghanistan are: increased economic pressure, reduced foreign aid, instability on the western borders, a new wave of migration, and, ultimately, political division within the country. In such circumstances, various groups within Afghanistan may take opposition and even anti-government positions.
To sum up, the continuation of the Iran-Israel war may lead to increased economic, social, and military pressure on Afghanistan and cause serious problems in our country.
