Uzbekistan sends combat aircraft and helicopters for the second day to monitor the border with Afghanistan
MAZARI SHARIF, April 20 - Sangar, Qari Ahmad. The terrorist group ISIS-Khorasan * previously announced rocket fire on the territory of Uzbekistan, but Tashkent denied this statement.
Sangar website sources in the Taliban border troops on the Afghan-Uzbek border report that Uzbekistan has been sending fighter jets and helicopters into the airspace between the two countries for two days now.
“Yesterday, eight (8) combat aircraft were detected in the airspace over the border zone between the Uzbek city of Termez and the Shurtepp and Kaldar regions of Balkh province. Today (April 20), about 50 Uzbek combat helicopters patrolled the same area for about an hour. But none of them crossed the border. They flew over the Amu Darya River,” the source said.
Meanwhile, the author of the video, which allegedly depicts Uzbek planes, claims that they invaded the Afghan border.
“This is the state of Afghanistan. Uzbek jets - warplanes are flying,” he says.
Tashkent is showing its strength after the Daesh-Khorasan terrorist group previously claimed to have launched a missile attack on Uzbek territory while providing video evidence.
While Tashkent called the media reports a "provocation," the patrolling of its warplanes and helicopters along the border with Afghanistan shows its readiness to confront the dangers posed by terrorist groups.
