Abdul Malik Pahlawan, better known as General Malik, one of Afghanistan's most prominent Uzbek figures, called the Taliban's policies a continuation of the policies of previous governments

MAZARE SHARIF, 19 jan - "Sangar", Qari Ahmad. In a written message to his countryman, Abdul Salam Hanafi, the Taliban's deputy prime minister, he said that the incomplete Ghani-Karzai nazi projects in northern Afghanistan are implemented by the Taliban Emirate in the name of religion and sharia.

Speaking about the arrest of Makhdum Alem, one of the top Taliban commanders in Faryab, he emphasized that he (Alem) killed thousands of Uzbeks of the province and thousands of soldiers of the country's armed forces for the sake of the Taliban Emirate, but today he himself overtook the same fate.

"Tomorrow it will be your turn and that of Qari Salahuddin Ayoubi, Damulla Mansur Samangani, Abu Idris Shulgarai, Mawlavi Atatullah, and hundreds of Uzbek, Turkmen and Tajik Taliban," said General Malik.

Makhdoom Alem was the head of the provincial military commission in Faryab after the Taliban came to power. On January 13, the Taliban's intelligence office summoned him to Mazare Sharif, the capital of Balkh province, and arrested him on charges of kidnapping. Mullah Fazel, the Taliban’s deputy defense minister, who had been captured by General Abdurshid Dostum’s forces in Faryab during the group’s first rule in the 1990s, issued his arrest warrant.

Following this incident, supporters and fighters under the command of Makhdoom Alem held a demonstration in Maimana, the capital of Faryab province, demanding his release, then expelled Pashtun Taliban from the city.

However, the "Taliban" announced that they would not release Alem and sent new forces to Maimana, took the situation under control, according to recent reports, punished the protesters.

General Malik says that the reward of the Emirate of the Taliban to those Uzbeks, Tajiks, Hazaras, Arabs, Turkmens who served for the restoration of the Emirate, killing their own people, will be the seizure and looting of their homes, lands, gardens, and end with their imprisonment or execution.

Addressing Abdul Salam Hanafi, he said that today you are sitting on the first floor of the Sadarat Palace in Kabul, where Abdul Karim Khalili and Sarwar Danesh from the Hazaras sat in this office before you, and above you, on the second floor, sat the Uzbek Abdurshid Dostum and Tajik Amrullah Saleh.

“They all served under the auspices of Karzai and Ghani, one of the founders of the Taliban, and each in turn, after they came to power, received their slave rewards of house arrest, exile, insult, humiliation, and incompetence. Everyone got what he deserved and left. This is the reward for every slave who serves outsiders," General Malik said.

He called on the Taliban's deputy prime minister to unite northern leaders, enter into dialogue with the modern world and the Taliban Emirate to create a more decentralized government, prevent further bloodshed, bring freedom, and secure the right to life for the people of the north.

Gen. Abdul Malik Pahlawan was previously the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Advisor to the Chief Executive of Afghanistan. He now leads the Afghan Freedom Party and is based in Iran.

Abdul Salam Hanafi, the deputy prime minister, is the highest-ranking Uzbek and non-Pashtun in the Taliban government.

Both are from northern Afghanistan, which is traditionally inhabited by non-Pashtuns - Tajiks, Uzbeks, Hazaras, and Turkmen.
