A respected brother from Parwan Province in Afghanistan asks: "What do you think about the Wakhan and Pakistan issue?"
Answer:
Afghanistan has underestimated Pakistan from the very first day of its emergence. Instead of recognizing Pakistan as a Muslim country and then resolving the Durand Line issue through negotiations or the United Nations, Afghanistan did not recognize Pakistan in the first place and sowed the seeds of hostility. Pakistan created as a result of British policy, not only initially joined the Western alliances but also appointed the best Pashtun generals and statesmen to the top positions in the country so that the border Pashtuns would never claim nationalism. For example, General Ayub Khan was a Pashtun.
At the same time, we all know that after World War II, Britain implemented two very cunning plans in South Asia and the Middle East to sow discord among Muslims: one was the creation of Pakistan, and then the creation of Israel. In the 70 years of their existence, both countries acquired the atomic bomb. What did we do? Nothing! Every day we played the violin “Da Pashtunistan Zmunzh (Pashtunistan is ours)” and when Sardar Dawood met Bhutto in Kabul during his presidency, he stopped raising his voice about Pashtunistan.
Pakistan has thrown the history of Pashtunstan into the dustbin of history. Then, especially during the Afghan Jihad against the Soviet Union, the policy of domination over Afghanistan was carried out and Afghanistan became the best cash cow for Pakistan. Later, training the Taliban and bringing them to power. I called it “the fourth Pakistani Occupation” in one of my articles.
On the other hand, Israel, another project that disturbed the peace and order among the Muslims, has made significant progress in the Middle East. Israel, with the help of the United States, occupied the Golan Heights after the 1967 war, and even today has advanced a few kilometers after the fall of Syria. Now that Israel has succeeded in conquering the Golan Heights and the British plan has succeeded, it is unsurprising that Pakistan will use the Wakhan Corridor for its economic interests, and the second British plan will also grow.
Afghanistan has never known any neighbors, enemies, or British projects in Asia and the Middle East. The so-called dream of Pashtunstan has been blinding Afghanistan throughout history.
Let us wait for the political and geopolitical changes of 2025. If Wakhan is lost, we should congratulate the Taliban and their ignorant supporters because they are shamelessly defending the treacherous Taliban who traded the country's territorial independence.
