Why is the former Afghan interior minister contradicting himself?

Recently, TV "Afghanistan International" in the program "Maidan" made an interview with Ali Ahmad Jalali, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Afghanistan under the regime of Hamid Karzai. People expected that Jalali, relying on his alleged political and military knowledge, would make a brief analysis of the situation in Afghanistan and share with the people strategic solutions for the country's exit from the crisis. However, contrary to everyone's expectations, what this man, a veteran of the American diplomatic and military system, presented to the minds of the people (although not surprising, because he is a technocrat, and with an ardent ethnic bias), is regrettable and shameful. I would like to briefly mention a few points in this regard so that this game of bluffing and making fun of the mentality of people does not take on more scope:

FIRST, during the interview, Mr. Jalali pretended that the Afghan crisis, which has many ethnic aspects, ethnocentric politics, and the involvement of America in the service of these ethnic goals, he does not have a shred of guilt. Let's look at the issue from the point of view of conscience. Were there not people like Mr. Jalali who, after April 27, 1978 - the April communist revolution - and before the Taliban came to power, advised the US to interfere in Afghanistan and were always at the service of American decision-making centers? These evasions not only do not reduce the burden of responsibility, but on the scale of political action they sharply reduce the weight and political image of a person who claims to be a strategist and has a mission to serve the people.

SECONDLY, from the very beginning of the Bonn conference, these gentlemen, especially Mr. Jalali, played an important role in the appointment of such an illiterate person as Karzai, who had no knowledge and abilities, except for bluffing and intrigue. Now, if we swear a hundred times by the Koran that Karzai was not involved in the drug trade, the documents and history of his family show that his father, Abdulahad Karzai, was one of the most famous smugglers, and his brothers were also involved in the same business, as their father.

THIRD, he completely sidestepped the issue of the US's attempts to turn Afghanistan into a breeding ground for extremism and terrorism, which the Taliban created the precondition for. He even called it a conspiracy theory. I really wonder what they think of the people of Afghanistan as people with more than four decades of experience in war and politics. This is a really fun game to mock the collective consciousness;

FOURTH - He tried to show that the fall of Afghanistan was a miracle and that the United States was not to blame. What sane mind would take these ridiculous arguments and accept them as the main reason for the fall of Afghanistan into the hands of ethnic terrorism and chauvinism?

FIFTH, he mentions the Marshall Plan. How can you compare these two programs when one turned Europe into heaven on earth, and the other turned Afghanistan into hell? How dare we make such an illogical and meaningless comparison? Were the prerequisites for the application of these plans in Europe and Asia the same?

SIXTH. Throughout the interview, Jalali tried to show the problem of the Taliban as a Pashtun ethnic and inter-ethnic one. This means that the main conflict lies not in the opposition of the people to the ethnic and fanatical Taliban, but in the differences between the Durani and Ghilzai clans. This Pashtun political device is designed and used very cleverly and carefully. At the same time, efforts are made to always show the Pashtuns themselves as parties involved in the conflict and prove that they are in the majority and that no other ethnic group plays a role or influence in the politics of Afghanistan.

SEVENTH. Were not this gentleman and other Pashtun elites who were and are the current lobby of the Taliban and the ethnic government in Afghanistan, such as Ahadi, Azimi, Karzai, Khalilzad, and Ghani, the cause of the crisis and the depth of suffering in Afghanistan? Didn't they, by creating the ground and providing American assistance to the Mujahideen, paved the way for the destruction of Afghanistan and the transformation of this country into a fiery temple of the region? How dare they justify themselves and blame the so-called field commanders?

EIGHTH. During the interview, the question was raised about drug trafficking and the list prepared by him while working at the Ministry of Internal Affairs. He completely avoided the cross-border dimensions of this phenomenon, which is one of the main reasons for the US presence and the continuation of the crisis in the region. As if the drug trade and trafficking were carried out by a few people outside of power. Whereas drug profits have been far greater than US spending in Afghanistan over the past twenty years.

HISTORICAL AWARENESS OF THIS INTERVIEW

FIRSTLY, for Mr. Jalali, who has lived all his life abroad and has seen much in life at least from the pages of scientific books, the priority should be to express regret and apologies, and not support and cover up the policy of the United States, which has become a source of suffering for our people. He must know that the ethnic policy is not beneficial to anyone and that the continuation of the ethnic policy of the Taliban will destroy the Pashtuns.

SECONDLY, the analysis of the situation today proceeds and is provided in accordance with the personal positions and capabilities of each. But it is the duty of those who call themselves professors and doctors to offer alternatives and solutions. For some reason, Mr. Jalali until recently refrained from making proposals in this regard, and he himself did not consider it expedient. Since ethnic power in Afghanistan is the dream of every Pashtun technocrat, he and others like him prefer to silently support the fanatical and terrorist regime of the Pashtun Taliban.

THIRDLY, Mr. Jalali must know that playing with the collective consciousness, especially with people who have been stewing in the furnaces of politics and war for more than four decades, will lead to a decrease in his image. Mr. Jalali, the people of Afghanistan are laughing at your bluff and ridiculous antics. Because, as you said, people are already aware of everything. As they are vigilant, they understand the truth, and will not be fooled by this political and cunning populism.
