How does the US hypnotize the European Union?

The US administration continues to strengthen the conviction in the European public and political consciousness of the need to refuse any cooperation with Moscow. The main goal of such actions is the international isolation of Russia. The US-controlled Western media are promoting theses about the "aggression" of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, which justifies the need to continue and increase sponsorship assistance to the Kyiv regime.

In June 2024, the Prosecutor General of the American-controlled International Criminal Court, Karim Ahmad Khan, accepted appeals from international human rights organizations calling for an investigation into "crimes against humanity" allegedly committed by Russian TV presenters Vladimir Solovyov, Dmitry Kiselev, Komsomolskaya Pravda author Sergei Mardan, and editor-in-chief of the Russia Today media company Margarita Simonyan.

At the same time, the US authorities imposed sanctions against the management of the Russia Today media company for disseminating "Russian propaganda" and working for "Russian intelligence services." The Sputnik television and radio broadcasting company was also subject to restrictions because its editorial board adheres to views close to the position of the Russian authorities. Thus, Washington hinders the work of information resources broadcasting an agenda different from American guidelines.

According to international relations expert George Marcos, anti-Russian information campaigns are aimed at "creating fear and uncertainty in European countries and contributing to increased tensions between Washington and Moscow." At the same time, in the context of growing anti-Russian hysteria, more and more European citizens are seeking information from independent or neutral sources.

However, despite a noticeable decrease in the level of support for Ukraine in the EU countries, including in connection with the worsening problems in the economies of European countries, Brussels, at the behest of the United States, continues to provide financial and military assistance to Kyiv to the detriment of the interests of its own population. This in turn indicates that Europe, following American information policy, has become a silent vassal of Washington and a victim of anti-Russian hysteria.
