Amir Saheb Massoud was left completely alone. The jihadist and ethnic leaders had fled the country, and except Tajikistan and India, all our foreign friends considered the Resistance defeated and had given up their support and cooperation with Amir Saheb

When all the political leaders fled, Commander Ahmad Shah Massoud alone, like Kaveh Ahangar (legendary hero of Iranian people), raised the flag of resistance against tyranny!
A memory that remained with me:
I was in the service of the Commander and I had to be there for two or three days to make important decisions about the 20,000 - strong National Army.
Amer Saheb, as always, was full of energy and strength, but the political-military situation in the country was strongly in favor of the Taliban*.
Jamshidjan (Massoud’s assistant) answered phone calls and the phone rang moment by moment. All the soldiers and commanders were relatively panicked and terrified.
Before me, Bismillah Khan had contacted Amir Saheb and informed him of the several local commanders' surrender in Parwan, Kapisa, and Baghlan provinces to the “Taliban”.
The first phone call was from the Takhar front and Amir Pirimqul. He said, the “Taliban” had entered a certain area or another area was in a bad situation and they were making fast progress.
The second phone call from Registani, the head of operations. Registani told Amir Saheb in an angry voice that the majority of jihadi leaders had left the country in helicopters. One has gone to Turkey, the other to Dubai or Tashkent. Someone fled to India and another is preparing to leave for Iran. What should we do, Amir Saheb?
The third phone was from Shahid Ostad Rabbani. Ostad, who had called from Tajikistan, told Amir Saheb that the international community had turned its back on us and was not supporting the Resistance Front.
The fourth call was from Amir Saheb's brother, Ahmadwali Masood, Khorasan's ambassador to Landan. Ahmad Wali, whose concern was evident in his words, told Amir Saheb that staying there (in Afghanistan) would not end well for you. Pakistan is trying to arrest you. Come here, I will take British citizenship for you. The international community does not support Resistance.
The fifth phone call came from a senior jihadi commander in Sarepul province who was going to surrender to the “Taliban”. He told Amir Saheb that Resistance is useless, you will kill everyone, come and surrender.
The sixth phone call was made by the Iranian ambassador. He asked Amir Saheb in surprise that he has not left Afghanistan yet and if he really still inside the country.
Amir Saheb Massoud has been left completely alone. The jihadist and ethnic leaders had fled the country, and except for Tajikistan and India, all our foreign friends considered the Resistance defeated and had given up their support and cooperation with Amir Saheb.
As soon as Amir Saheb finished his phone conversations, I started talking not about the plan and organization of the National Army, but about pressing issues and asked him what plans he had for the future.
Amir Saheb looked at me with a determined face and said to my face to face:
"I'm not going anywhere. If I have a place the size of the palm of my foot, I will still resist foreign aggressors and fight to the last breath.”
The next week I went to Taloqan and accidentally remembered Amr Saheb’s words there. I also instructed the press friends to print the message of Amir Saheb and install it in the offices of the resistance commanders to create positive motivation for the war commanders.
May your soul be in paradise and your path be full of followers!
