“Mawlawi Sikander's khanaqa or mosque” in the Imam Sahib district of Kunduz province was the center of Jamaat Tabligh* and suicide brainwashing.

Afghan and international media have reported an explosion at the “khanaqa of Mavlavi Sikander” and a death toll of between 30 and 90 people. Finally, Taliban spokesman* Zabiullah Mujahid tweeted about 31 dead and 43 wounded, noting that there were children among them and calling the perpetrators "rebels and evil elements."

Some sources also told Sangar about the drone strike, for which there was no evidence for this claim. However, this version is remarkable, given that American drones have been flying over Afghanistan for almost a month.

However, the explosion that occurred at 2:30 pm on April 23 in the Chinari Sayyid Jalal district of the Imam Sahib district was simultaneously a suicide attack - an “intihari” (a terrorist who blows himself up) and, in the words of Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, two “ightimasi” ( going with a gun to commit suicide). As expected, the terrorist group ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack.

Sources attribute this attack to the hostility of the ISIS ideology to Sufism since in this abode the feasts and murids engaged in loud zikr* (zikri jahriya) and performed other Sufi rituals.

Meanwhile, the correspondent of the Sangar website, after a short investigation, received some other details about the incident and the “khanaqa”.

“Intihar and Ightimas”

On this day, after the Friday prayer, people went home, and about 50 people remained, including students of the khanaqa and a group of admirers from residents.

A man who was wounded in the yard of the khanaqa after the suicide attack fell to the ground and witnessed the incident, says that the “intihari” entered the khanaqa wearing a large vest and holding a plastic box in his hand and went to the second floor of the house.

“Two others stood at the gate with a Kalashnikov in their hands. I thought that these people were the Taliban and were no different from them. When the explosion occurred, everyone who was in the lower rooms and the kitchen went out into the courtyard. Then those two started shooting at them. Everyone who could back entered the room and took cover. I was wounded, threw myself on the ground, and pretended to be dead,” he said.

According to him, he lost consciousness from the severity of the wound, and when he regained consciousness, he saw that people were running in the courtyard and dragging the dead and wounded into cars (for the safety of this person, some details of his speech are not given).

He confirmed the official Taliban attack that left over 30 people dead and 40 injured.

He recounted the continuation of the incident from the words of others. According to him, the Taliban, who were near the khanaqa, arrived at the site of the explosion and entered into battle with two Igtimashi, who in the end blew themselves up.

This is one of the reasons why the two bodies were not found, but another source said they were killed in the fighting and their bodies were taken away by the Taliban. If their bodies existed, they would have been printed in the media, but when they were not found, two conclusions can be drawn: 1) the Taliban knew about the plan, primarily because the Haqqani Network is considered their “handler”; 2) These two blew themselves up and destroyed themselves.

Abdullah Rusi

Another person who entered the khanaqa after the explosion told another very interesting thing. According to him, when the dead and wounded were carried out, those present witnessed a shocking incident.

“From the collapsed wall, a 20-liter plastic barrel fell to the ground. No one approached him because he was filled with explosives and she was ready to be blown up. Just take it, connect the cables and blow it up,” he said.

According to him, the barrel filled with explosives was either placed in the wall by the former, or maybe the current inhabitants of the khanaqa.

“According to residents, the khanaqa used to be a center for the preparation of suicide bombers and the preparation of hand mines. It was under the control of the Taliban. The students of the center were first brainwashed here, then they became suicide bombers. Their teachers were from the Tablighi Jamaat who studied in Pakistan,” he said.

Tablighi Jamaat is an extremist organization that has been spreading in India and Pakistan since the 1920s. But in recent decades, foreign intelligence agencies have turned him into a brainwasher of future members of terrorist organizations, and some experts have called him "the invisible legion of jihad."

An interesting point, which is told by another source about this khanaqa, is the story of a man named Abdullah Rusi, or Maskavi. Although he has such nicknames, he is not originally a Russian citizen, he may have been British or American, but he spoke Russian with his subordinates, who were mostly citizens of Tajikistan. He also knew Arabic, Farsi, Pashto, and Urdu.

“Abdullah was an accomplished sniper, mine-builder, and member of al-Qaeda. He reportedly went to Nuristan after the Taliban took over Afghanistan. Some say they saw him in Saripul. He is a very important and dangerous person,” the source said.

What does “Abdullah” has to do with the “khanaqa of Mawlawi Sikander” is that he worked here for some time teaching suicide bombers and mine-builders. He was supported and respected by the Taliban, as well as the intelligence of previous governments and their foreign patrons. When the Taliban came to power, a field of activity opened up for him and other members of terrorist organizations.

But ISIS and Imam Sahib. According to Sangar's interlocutor, this terrorist group has a large presence in the area but works very covertly, and most of those who call themselves Taliban and are local "work for the Taliban during the day and ISIS at night."

There are other reports about the situation in the area, which borders Tajikistan. About them another time.

What doesn't happen in Afghanistan...
