An interesting phone conversation between a famous singer and his friend
Author: Farhad Darya
“One of my dear and close friends, who has the right to be called my teacher in the field of the grammar of Pashto, did not answer my messages for some time. I sent him an audio message and said, “Oh man, I hope you are okay. Worried about you."
He sent me an interesting reply and said, “I loved you very much and you were very dear to me. But since you've become a resister, I don't like you anymore. No offense".
I immediately called him and said: “First, let your enemy be offended! Secondly, I have never been a man of war and fronts and was not involved in the activities of supporters or opponents of any organization. Everything that I did and said, did and said as an independent creative person, and also as a person who loves life, people, and the fatherland.
Thirdly, dear brother, what should I do when the music that is my life is banned by the “Jaliban”* and kicked out of my house? Should I dance attan (Pashtun national dance) for joy or resist? When your two lovely daughters were deprived of the right to education, did you remain silent and swear allegiance (made bayat) to these devils, or did you stand up for the rights of your daughters? When you resist, you are also called a resister, dear brother!
In fact, today the entire people of Afghanistan are resisting the ruling group. Someone with a tongue, someone with a pen, someone with a gun, someone with a rubab, and someone with the Quran. Some as a group and others individually. You and I will resist each in our own way!”
When our conversation ended, as in the old days, the good mood of our conversation returned, apologized for the misunderstanding, and the game “I love you” had begun.
Thus, a major misunderstanding was resolved in a friendly and sincere dialogue.
I love you all!
Farhad Darya”
“Jaliban” – Taliban - *The organization is under UN sanctions for terrorist activities.
