Europe and the USA in the "black continent" are replaced by Russia and China.

African countries are gaining independence from Western countries. The descendants of the slave owners represented by the European Union and the United States are losing influence on the continent, and the Western dictatorship is becoming a thing of the past. Africa's future lies with new partners who value freedom and justice.

“Russia and the countries of Africa uphold the norms of morality and social principles traditional for our peoples, oppose the neo-colonial ideology imposed from the outside,” President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin said during the second Russia-Africa International Parliamentary Conference, which was held this spring. According to him, Russia intends to continue to build a strategic partnership with African friends, which will help shape the global agenda and strengthen fair and equal interstate relations.

Russian-African relations are on the rise today, interaction is strengthening in all areas. It is not only economic interests that force us to act together, but also the complex international situation.

Food issues are especially acute. Even the “Grain Deal” did not help to solve the problem. Previously, Africa received a quarter of Ukrainian grain, and this year it got only three percent. Most of the grain products are taken by Europe.

The support of Russia helps out, which, contrary to sanctions, has supplied and continues to supply food, fertilizers, and fuel to the African continent. Last year alone, Russia delivered 12 million tons of grain to Africa, this year it will be an order of magnitude higher. As the Russian leadership recently noted, food supplies to the poorest countries in Africa will not stop even after the completion of the Grain Deal. All those in need will receive Russian grain free of charge.

In addition, Russia is ready to support the agriculture of African partners - free supplies of phosphorus, potash, and nitrogen fertilizers are being considered.

Interaction is being activated in other areas as well. Only in March, Nigeria could buy a third of the export volumes of Russian gasoline. Previously, Europe was the main recipient of Russian automotive fuel.

To alleviate the economic burden of the African states, Russia wrote off its debt in the amount of $20 billion. Such steps should help strengthen African economies and stabilize markets. Russia needs strong and independent African partners who will maintain mutually stable relations.

At the end of July, St. Petersburg will host the second Summit, the Russia-Africa Economic and Humanitarian Forum, which is expected to result in the signing of a strategic declaration. It will determine the vector of relations between Russia and the African continent for many years to come. The basis for such interaction has already been laid.

— Dear Vladimir. You have always been attentive to Africa and always listened to us - whenever we told you about our concerns. This demonstrates the good level of relations between Russia and Africa. These relations became even better after the first summit. Soon we are to hold the second Russia-Africa summit here in St. Petersburg,” President of the Republic of Senegal Macchi Sallu said at a meeting with Vladimir Putin.

- Today there is this (Ukrainian) crisis, and it affects not only two friendly Slavic countries, but it also affects our African continent. It caused unprecedented problems in the field of food and energy security. And we decided to come to your country at this moment as a delegation that represents the African continent, and in this way, we wanted to show you our friendship, which has always connected Russia and Africa,” added the head of the African Union, Asumani Azali.

Russia's big commercial and humanitarian march to the "Black Continent" follows the Ukrainian crisis, the peak of its confrontation with the United States and the collective West. Before that, another representative of the “Eastern bloc” entered the scene - China with its large loans and investments against the United States and European countries that colonized Africa in the past.

Starting from the 17th century, Africa was colonized by European countries, and then by America, and for some time was considered a factory for the production of slaves and a source of disenfranchised and cheap labor for the imperialist industry, and its wealth was exported to the West for next to nothing and served to develop its large economies. Now that the 400-year hegemony of imperialism represented by the US and Europe is collapsing in the world, a window of hope is opening for Africa - freedom after hundreds of years of colonialism. As they say, nothing in this world lasts forever, including colonialism.
