Rais Hashem or Hashem Rais, one of Marshal Dostum's close associates, was arrested in Tehran by Iranian special services
MASHHAD, March 25 - Sangar, Zaher Faqir. His arrest took place on March 19 (Hut 28, 1400), three days after he entered Iran from Turkey.
Confirming the news, one of Nizamuddin Qaysari's close associates, a prominent Uzbek commander and one of Dostum's opponents, told the Sangar website, that on the third day of his arrival in Iran, Rais Hashem gathered the commanders of the Junbishi Milli - the National Movement of Afghanistan, led by Marshal Abdurshid Dostum, and passed on the order of their leader.
“Marshal Dostum ordered to mobilize the troops of the Movement and send them to Turkey, and from there to Ukraine to participate in the war against the armed forces of Russia. Iranian intelligence was informed about it. They arrived at the residence of Rais Hashem three hours after the end of the meeting of the commanders and arrested him,” he said.
Meanwhile, one of Junbesh's commanders told Sangar that this was not true, in fact, General Abdul Malik Pakhlavan and Commander Nizamuddin Kaisari had orchestrated a plot to discredit Marshal Dostum.
“Rais Hashem came to solve the problem of extending the visas of some Junbesh commanders with the Iranian authorities. On the contrary, Marshal Dostum's message to his supporters was that they must be ready for a full-scale war to liberate the North from the Taliban*. Rais Hashem also arrived in Iran from Turkey three months ago and met with all the Junbishi Milli commanders in Iran. He is going to buy a house here,” he said.
Rais Hashem, or Hashem Rais, is Marshal Dostum's confidant. In the past, he was a senior security officer at Arg, the presidential palace of Afghanistan. He was the last governor of the republic in the province of Jazjan, whom Dostum introduced in January 2021.
Other commanders of the Junbishi Milli, such as Fathulla Kaisari, Rahmatulla Turkestani, Hanifbai Almari, Mohammad Hashem Batur, Shimal Qumandan, Abdulhakim Turk Oghli, and others, also took refuge in Iran.
At the same time, there is talk that Turkey has greatly improved its relationship with the Taliban and allegedly asked Marshal Dostum, who is a sworn enemy of the Taliban and has no choice but to fight them, to send his troops to Ukraine.
Marshal Dostum or Junbeshi Milli have not yet reacted to this news.
