Not only did he never work for the good of Afghanistan, but everything he did was not in the interests of the Islamic Party.

It's time to say the unspeakable.
When Hekmatyar, the leader of the Islamic Party, decided to come to Afghanistan after signing the (unhappy peace) agreement (with the government of Ashraf Ghani), I met with Asadullah Habib, the active person in charge of the party in the central zone of Kabul and security issues in the central provinces, who currently lives in Europe. We worked out a plan for reconciliation between Hekmatyar and his political rivals, especially Jamiat Islami (Islamic Society), to create a new page in the relations between the jihadist parties.
We wanted Hekmatyar, as the jihadist leader of Afghanistan, to treat his rivals with complete patience and forget hatred and enmity, especially when the Mujahideen lacked such leadership at that time. We expected Hekmatyar to revive and gain leadership among all the Mujahideen. Everyone was yearning for unity and solidarity among the children of the Islamic movement.
But what happened?
Haji Asadullah Habib contacted Adeeb, the eldest son of Marshal Fahim, and General Habil, his son-in-law, the head of the department and a person close to Fahim Khan, who was heading the Office of the Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Defense at that time. They expressed their willingness and said that if Mr. Hekmatyar came to the houses of the children of the late Fahim, Masood, and Rabbani in Kabul, it would be great and thus a tradition and goodwill would be established. They said we would choose another place or a third place to meet there and pray for the departed!
The next step would be for everyone, including Ahmad Shah Masood's son, Ustad Rabbani's son, Marshal Fahim's son, and several Jamiat-e-Islami members and leaders, to visit the Islamic Party office to pay their respects to Hekmatyar. Thus, a new season of goodwill and mutual trust would begin!
Unfortunately, the matter was reversed due to the advice of government advisers and biased speculators. No attention was paid, which requires a long discussion!
Adeeb Fahim also said that any positive advice I give will be accepted by the brothers of Amir Sahib (Ahmad Shah Masood).
I sent Adib Fahim's views along with my joint plan and Asadullah Habib in detail verbally and in writing through Hekmatyar's son Salahuddin Hekmatyar and his grandson Mohammad Ibrahim, son of Nasratiyar, on the phone. In response, Hekmatyar's son sent me a photo of the message on my phone to reassure me and said, "My father (Hekmatyar) is against this plan... He disagrees. You can not bother yourself..."
Contrary to expectations, Hekmatyar, when he appeared in Laghman, sowed the seeds of hatred and enmity against the Taliban and Jamiat. He called the Taliban created and woven by foreigners (Britain and the US), called the Panjshiris mechanics, and said, "At present, only six hundred mechanics from a small district are generals and marshals in the government system."
In this regard, Dr. Fazlmanullah Mumtaz, the then spokesman of the Islamic Party, stated that (Hanif) Atmar had asked Hekmatyar to make statements on the Taliban in Jalalabad. He also added that he witnessed a scene where Dr. Ghairat, Hekmatyar's son-in-law, brought a message from Atmar to Hekmatyar asking him to support Ashraf Ghani in response to Ata Muhammad Noor's statements.
Hekmatyar immediately ordered Mumtaz to invite all media outlets to the next day. At that conference, Hekmatyar supported Ghani, "We will not allow anyone to scale the walls of the presidential palace."
As a result, on the advice of domestic and foreign advisers, Hekmatyar missed a golden opportunity and went in a direction not in the interests of either the party or Afghanistan.
