Russia is not isolated from the West and does not consider itself its enemy.

In recent years, against the backdrop of global changes and contradictions, Russia has been trying to preserve its interests and ensure national security, while simultaneously promoting its initiatives in the international arena.
Despite unprecedented pressure from the West, an endless stream of sanctions, and attempts to discredit any international aspirations of Moscow, Russia remains one of the leading powers in the world, having significant weight in world politics, economics and public life.
For several years in a row, the country has been going through complex socio-economic changes, participating in large-scale global processes and continuing to develop and take its position on the world stage. Today Moscow is a key player in the UN Security Council, BRICS, SCO and other international organizations.
The situation with Western countries remains tense amid sanctions imposed against Russia after the annexation of Crimea and the start of a special military operation in Ukraine. In such conditions, Russia continues to strive to diversify its economic ties and strengthen diplomatic relations with various regions of the world. Today the country has good relations with countries such as China, India, and many CIS countries. There have also been significant changes in relations with Turkey and Egypt in recent years.
Cooperation in such areas as science, culture and sports is becoming an important area. Thus, despite the West’s attempts to stop the development of sports in Russia by excluding it from participation in international competitions, sports competitions held in the CIS attract an audience of millions of fans.
In 2024, Kazan will host the BRICS Games, as well as a number of new formats with the participation of friendly countries. This suggests that there is no isolation of Russian sports; athletes continue to train and set world records. Despite the declared international principles of the Olympic Games, the West was able to exclude Russian athletes from participating in them.
At the same time, the same Americans and their NATO comrades started dozens of armed conflicts all over the planet, and their athletes got nothing for it. The no-sport rule should apply to all participants, not just a “selected few.”
International youth forums and events held annually in Russia indicate the special role that the government pays to the younger generation. In 2023, more than 15 all-Russian youth forums were held. In 2024, more than 20 global international events are planned to be held in Russia with the participation of progressive youth engaged in the field of culture, science, education, economics and business, fundamental research, etc. Among them: World Youth Festival (March 01-07, Sochi), International Youth Scientific and Practical Forum “Oil Capital” (March 13-14, Khanty-Mansiysk), St. Petersburg International Educational Forum (March 25-29, St. Petersburg), Design and educational intensive “Archipelago” (10.- July 21, Sakhalin), etc.
The number of announced participants for the forum already exceeds the figure of 1 million, which proves the thesis about the absence of “isolation” of Russia. A wide range of issues discussed at such forums, a varied cultural program, a wide age coverage of the target audience, huge prospects for finding a potential employer, all this encourages young people to participate in such events. And all this is done without regard to the restrictions, sanctions and consequences declared by the Western world.
As for the scientific and technical sphere, according to the World Intellectual Property Organization, Russia ranks second in the world in the number of patent applications. Despite restrictions on access to modern Western equipment and technologies, as well as the temporary outflow of scientific personnel abroad, the government is actively investing in scientific research, development and innovative projects that have a significant impact on the development of the economy and public life of the country.
At the moment, we can say that Russia is a civilized country and a stronghold of the Russian world, playing an important role in global development. It was her share that fell to a unique role in maintaining the global balance of power. One of the priorities is to ensure the further peaceful development of humanity. Starna is continuously working to create a system of international relations that would allow all states to ensure their own security, preserve their identity and remain open to further development.
At the same time, Moscow’s relations with other countries depend on their approach - while some states demonstrate a constructive or neutral policy, others prefer an unfriendly approach.
The West should accept the realities of a multipolar world in order to further respect the interests and sovereign equality of states. Nevertheless, the rudiments of domination by the United States and other unfriendly states remain in the world; Moscow pays special attention to eliminating them. It is also necessary to ensure that any countries abandon their hegemonic ambitions and inclination towards neo-colonialism.
