Fighting between resistance forces and the Taliban* in Panjshir and Andarab killed and wounded dozens of people
HINDU KUSH, May 7 - Sangar, Sanam Amir, Hasib Sangar. The fighting began three days ago, on May 6, in the Dara region of Panjshir province and spread to the Shutul and Khesarak valleys and the Andarab region of Baghlan province.
Information provided to the Sangar correspondent in Panjshir from various sources indicates that over the past two days there have been violent clashes between the forces of the National Resistance Front and the Taliban in the Dara and Obshore areas of the Panjshir Valley.
“All the men took up arms. The Taliban sent large forces into the war zone. The intensity of the war was so great that the people did not have the opportunity to bury the teacher Saduddin, and his sons took a position in the grave of their father and entered the battle. They fought from the dug grave of their father," a source on the front line said.
According to this source, between 5 and 7 o'clock on May 7, Commander Malik's group ambushed a Taliban column in the vicinity of the village of Abdullakhel, after which the Taliban fighters fled, leaving their corpses on the battlefield.
“The next day, May 8, the Taliban sent large troops to the area just to take the bodies of their dead. They were confused and repeatedly announced to their fighters on the radio to be vigilant so that the resistance fighters would not block their way from behind,” he said.
According to him, the Taliban left Abdullahel and settled in the villages of Dehpita and Kartaz, at the end of the Dara valley, and completely left the villages of Argaz and Manjanastu, where Commander Malik is based.
“The situation in Dar is entirely in favor of the resistance. Rumors about the landing of Badri forces and the arrival of helicopters are not true. People returned to the villages and brought bread and food for the resistance forces. We are preparing for more Taliban attacks in the coming days,” the source said.
According to him, more than 100 Taliban were killed and dozens wounded during the fighting in the areas of Dara and Obshor. They were transported by car to the stadium in the village of Bazarak, and from there to Kabul and Parwan.
“Records released by the Taliban show that the bodies of Taliban fighters were taken to Kandahar and Helmand provinces. From our own sources, we learned that about 100 wounded were admitted to the hospitals of Sardar Daud and the Security Directorate in Kabul. All of them were transferred from the Panjshir and Andarab wars, ” the source said.
At the same time, there were reports of clashes in the Shutul and Hisarak valleys, as well as the Faraj region of the Panjshir valley, the details of which have not yet been received.
According to resistance sources, seven resistance fighters have been killed in recent fighting in Panjshir. These (pictured above) were the teacher Saduddin, Mirzaman, Aynullo, Mirzajan from Abdullakhel's camp, Raqibkhan, and Makhfuzjan from the Shutul valley, as well as Abdulbasir from the Marashtan village of the Hisarak valley, who died a week ago.
Master Saduddin was a former Mujahideen who fought under the command of Ahmad Shah Massoud. Two days ago, Commander Wazir Shutul informed a Sangar reporter of the death of his brother Raqibhan.
Meanwhile, on Sunday, May 8, heavy fighting erupted between resistance forces and the Taliban in the Andaraby region of Baghlan province.
Abdulhasan Andarabi, one of the commanders of the Resistance Front, told the Sangar website that the Taliban attacked resistance positions in the Darai Jar, Qasatarash and Khairdara districts of Deh Salah around 10:30 am and clashes continued until 6:00 pm.
“Following offensive attacks by Andarab resistance fighters, the villages of Darai Hajr, Bedkulu, Pashai, Darband, Qassabdara, Dehbala, and Qala Dara of Dehsalah district of Andarab province were cleared of Taliban forces,” he said.
According to him, during the clashes, 15 Taliban militants were killed and 24 were injured. There are no casualties among the fighters of the resistance forces. Fighters from the Afghan Freedom Front are said to have collaborated with the forces of the National Resistance Front in these battles.
Fierce fighting began in the Hindu Kush on May 6 after a Taliban operation against Commander Malik, the head of Taliban intelligence in Panjshir, which ended on the same day in the defeat of the Taliban and the capture of the Dara and Obshore districts of Panjshir province.
According to Sangar sources, the Taliban have sent dozens of tanks and "rangers" to Panjshir and Andarab, which can warm up the battles with the resistance fronts.
