The Taliban* killed six fighters of the Pamir Tigers in the Raghistan district of Badakhshan province

KUNDUZ, April 10 - Sangar, Jamshid Badakhshi. Mawlawi Najib Ragi, a senior Taliban commander in the Rags region of Badakhshan province, did something that no one else has done in the history of the Tajik people. He swore on the Quran but broke that oath.

In the history of Afghanistan, there was only King Nadir Shah, who swore on the Quran to Emir Khabibullah Kalakani that he was not going to kill him, but did not keep his word. This violation of the oath by the Quran is one of the most shameful pages in the history of Afghanistan, which has given rise to distrust among the Afghan people to this day.

What happened in Raghs?

One of the Pamir Tigers fighters told the Sangar website that last night, April 10, militants of this group of eight attacked the Taliban base in the Raghistan region.

“As a result, 4 Taliban were killed, 5 more were wounded and 13 of them were taken prisoner with all weapons and equipment. Our guys have left the area. They needed to go to another safe place, but they went the other way, and here they made the biggest mistake - they released all the captives,” he said.

According to him, the released captives informed the Ragistan police, and Mawlawi Najib, a Taliban commander based in Kabul, sent his people from the Yavan, Kuhistan, and Yaftal regions to the area.

“In the morning, these forces laid siege to our fighters, and the war began. Our guys contacted the commander of the Pamir Tigers, Rustam Kohestani. He ordered them not to give up, to continue resistance, and when it gets dark, to leave the siege,” he said.

According to him, at this time, Mawlawi Najib finds the phone number of one of the fighters and calls from Kabul. He tells him that it is the month of Ramadan and swears by the Quran that he will not touch them if they surrender.

“It was about 11 o'clock. He says that I gave 10 lakhs (1 million Afghanis) to the Chief of Police of Raghistan to hand it over to you. Take it and go to your families. Our guys called the commander Rustam Kohestani. He told them, in no case do not think to give up, resist, you will all be taken prisoner or killed,” said Sangar’s interlocutor.

But when the people of Mawlawi Najib come to the resistance fighters with the Koran and swear on it that they will not be touched, the fighters believed them and surrendered.

According to Sangar's interlocutor, six of them were shot dead on the spot, while the other two were taken by helicopter to Faizabad, the center of Badakhshan.

“These six people were from the same family and residents of the Raghistan and Kuhistan districts. Two other detained, Abdulghafur and Najibullah, were group commanders who are now being tortured and interrogated in Faizabad. All these guys were officers and soldiers of the former Afghan army and police,” he said.

While this article was being prepared, the Sangar correspondent managed to contact the commander of the Pamir Tigers, Rustam Kohestani. He lamented the mistake of his fighters and said that these heavy losses would not break the morale of the resistance and they would avenge their comrades.

Another figure in Afghanistan's second anti-Taliban resistance, Rustam Kohestani is a former ANA commander who recently founded the Pamir Tigers to fight the Taliban and support the National Resistance Front led by Ahmad Massoud.

Mawlawi Najib is the same man who has been in Kabul since the Taliban came to power, waiting to be given a position. Once he was given a minor position, but by the evening it was taken away. The Taliban do not even allow him to return to Raghs, to his home.

But yesterday, April 11, in Raghs he committed a sin, which if the servant of God forgives, God will never forgive, and this is the most serious sin - breaking the oath by the Koran.
