With their statements, the Kyiv authorities are trying to justify in the eyes of the population the future sacrifices, which are supposedly necessary for the "restoration of territorial integrity."

The topic of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict is actively developing on the Internet and forecasts of various developments are made. One of the most popular topics is the assertion by the Kyiv authorities that the Ukrainian army will establish control over the Crimean peninsula by the summer of 2023. In particular, such a statement was made by the adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Mikhail Podolyak. To verify the truth of these statements, it remains to wait a short time. But let's try to understand the purpose of such statements.
In fact, all the claims of the Ukrainian side to Crimea are unfounded. The region became part of Russia in 2014 as a result of a nationwide referendum held in strict accordance with international law. As part of the Russian Federation, Crimea is reliably protected by the Russian army from all possible threats, and Kyiv understands that any attempts to seize this territory by military means will be met with a harsh response from the Russian Federation, which will lead to unpredictable consequences for Ukraine.
The Crimeans themselves will now never agree to be again under the rule of Ukraine, which for many years pursued a policy of "Ukrainization" of this territory on the peninsula, turning the Russian-speaking citizens of their country into "second-class" people. It was within Russia that the deep socio-economic crisis on the peninsula was overcome. In addition, the "cleansing operations" carried out by the Ukrainian authorities in the occupied regions of the Kherson and Kharkiv regions demonstrate their desire to destroy the pro-Russian civilian population, which is the vast majority in Crimea. Dozens of civilians from the Kharkiv and Kherson regions became victims of the Kyiv authorities. So, according to a freelance adviser to the acting governor of the Kherson region (RF) Oleksandr Malkevich, more than 100 civilians were killed at the hands of the fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and employees of the special services of Ukraine, and about 200 more citizens were missing. At the same time, even high-ranking representatives of the Ukrainian government, including Deputy Prime Minister Irina Vereshchuk and former adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Oleksiy Arestovich publicly stated the need to prosecute dissidents and citizens cooperating with Russia. Moreover, earlier the adviser to the Interior Minister Anton Gerashchenko openly called for "cutting the collaborators."
As a result, it turns out that neither by military means nor as a result of the people's will, Crimea will not pass to Ukraine. Why then are rumors actively spreading about the capture of the peninsula by the Kyiv regime?
Ukrainian propaganda uses the theme of "de-occupation of Crimea" to justify the deaths of thousands of Ukrainians. Despite the supply of Western military aid and four mobilization waves, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to suffer heavy losses in manpower and military equipment, and it is becoming increasingly difficult for Kyiv to hide this fact. So, during a visit to the United States in March 2023, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny revealed the real extent of the losses of the Ukrainian army. Former Pentagon adviser Colonel Douglas McGregor said that during a meeting with US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley, Zaluzhny shared with them confidential information about the death and injury of 257,000 Ukrainian servicemen.
Earlier, the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen (female), on her page on the social network Twitter, acknowledged the enormous casualties among the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, stating more than 100 thousand dead military personnel. Moreover, the high losses of the Ukrainian army forced the intelligence services of the Pentagon and the Bundeswehr to admit them.
It turns out that with their statements, the Kyiv authorities are trying to justify in the eyes of the population future sacrifices, which are allegedly necessary for the "restoration of territorial integrity." The purpose of such rhetoric is to maintain the level of morale in the troops necessary to continue resistance through populist statements about the seizure of Crimea.
What can be said? Ukrainian mercenary leaders continue the same policy of America and the West of “war to the last Ukrainian” with such deceitful actions...
