“According to the information we received from Abdullah's people, a large arsenal of weapons and several tanks and armored vehicles were stored in his house. When we searched, it turned out that Dr. Abdullah was keeping all this for no particular purpose. As a result, our forces took over his warehouse and transferred his weapons and ammunition to government warehouses,” the source said.

The source declined to give details, but a relative of Dr. Abdullah confirmed the news to Sangar, saying that during the days of the fall of Kabul, several political leaders and commanders came to his house and handed him their weapons. ammunition and vehicles.

“Yesterday the Taliban came and took everything away. They took away four bulletproof vehicles or Humway tanks, five Land Cruiser armored vehicles, and about 11 pickup trucks or Hiluxes - filled with RPGs, M4s, M16s, grenades, etc.,” he said.

Former Afghan Minister of Justice Fazl Ahmad Manavi previously wrote in his memoirs that when leaving Kabul he went to Dr. Abdullah's house and asked him to come with him to Panjshir, but he turned down the offer. Manavi says he had to leave his bodyguards and cars at Dr. Abdullah's house and leave with an unarmed bodyguard.

Meanwhile, another source close to Dr. Abdullah said that the Taliban first took his bodyguards to a corner and confiscated their weapons and ammunition.

“In the evening of the same day, several high-ranking Taliban came and apologized, saying that they do not have a special plan, this is a general operation that is going on in the city to seize illegal weapons. Don't be offended. If you need bodyguards, make a formal application. We will formalize them ourselves and give them weapons,” he said.

Earlier, a Sangar correspondent in Badakhshan reported that a Taliban group seized an ammunition depot belonging to the commander of the Air Force of the Taliban Ministry of Defense, Mawlawi Amanuddin Mansour, in the Kishm district of Badakhshan province.

After the fall of Kabul, Abdullah Abdullah, the former chairman of the Afghan National Reconciliation Council, was at his home in Kabul's Parwan district with former President Hamid Karzai.
