The Taliban* forces have suffered heavy losses in today's fighting in Andarab, and rumors are circulating in the region that their well-known commander has been assassinated.

“According to the information we received from the NRFA command, the fighting is still ongoing, and so far 19 Taliban have been killed, eight more seriously injured. But the information we receive from the emergency hospital in the Deh Salah district and the city of Puli Khumri, the center of Baghlan province, shows that the number of wounded Taliban is very high, and the bodies of their dead are being transported to Kabul, ” - reports Sangar correspondent.

Meanwhile, according to him, there are rumors in the center of Deh Salah that Sayed Yaqutshah, the commander of the Kelagai brigade, was killed in today's battle.

“Said Yaqutshah is one of the most brutal and corrupt Taliban commanders who came to Andarab with 200 fighters. But this information has not yet been confirmed. Some say he was badly injured,” he said.

Earlier, the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan announced the death of Abdul Mateen Andarabi, one of the commanders of the resistance. Andarabi served in the Afghan police and the National Army from Andarab to Helmand and Kandahar in the past. After the fall of the republic in Kabul, he joined the National Resistance and died last night in the battles in Andarabs.

Meanwhile, Taliban sources said four resistance fighters, including commander Abdul Mateen Andarabi, were killed in the latest fighting.

Meanwhile, a Sangar reporter confirmed the news of the Taliban military helicopters, saying they flew from the Deh Salah area towards the Qasan Valley.

Andarabs is a region of Baghlan Province and is the common name for the districts of Deh Salah, Banu, and Puli Hesar.
