Statement by the National Resistance Front regarding the propaganda of ISIS and the Taliban.
Author: National Resistance Front of Afghanistan
We have recently witnessed a deliberate internal and external propaganda campaign that has been launched to create and promote a new false narrative, which in fact can be described as a deliberate distortion of existing facts about the real nature and nature of terrorist groups in Afghanistan and the region.
A large-scale psychological war has been unleashed around ISIS, especially the Khorasan branch of this terrorist group. What is more interesting is that the terrorist group Taliban, as the mother of terrorism, claims to be fighting ISIS and is trying to attract the attention of the countries in the region and score points with the countries in the region in the name of fighting ISIS-Khorasan. While this is obvious, the Taliban and ISIS share common ideals, goals, and strategies, and all the facts of the last ten years prove that these two terrorist groups share operational capabilities and complement each other's destructive goals.
Moreover, these two groups are two sides of the same coin in terms of the dangers and security threats facing Afghanistan and the region. Those who until yesterday used the Taliban as a violent tool to achieve their strategic goals are now seeking to gain the legitimacy of the Taliban and are using ISIS as a violent tool to achieve their geopolitical goals.
The terrorist group Taliban and the terrorist group ISIS, in terms of their thoughts and beliefs, ideology, goals, violence and brutality, fighting manifestations of human culture and civilization, foreign sponsors and methods of recruitment, and neglect of youth, have common features and complete similarities with each other. Both are used by dangerous foreign intelligence networks to undermine the stability and security of Afghanistan and the region.
All security assessments show that with the return of the terrorist Taliban to power, despite the group's false claims of fighting ISIS, the Khorasan branch of ISIS, along with more than twenty other terrorist groups, has found a safe and favorable space, shelter and platform for growth and expansion, and it has practically become a serious potential threat to the security and stability of the region.
It appears that the conspiracy has now taken a different form and an attempt is being made to create a new identity for the ISIS-Khorasan terrorist group. In this regard, they started talking about recruitment to ISIS-Khorasan among Tajiks and suspiciously inflated this topic.
Attempts are still being made to create false links between the National Resistance Front and the terrorist group ISIS-Khorasan to pave the way for further suppression of resistance fighters. Moreover, the terrorist Taliban have been suppressing resistance fighters with all their might for the past two years and eight months and claim that they are destroying ISIS.
Therefore, the National Resistance Front reiterates its rejection of any kind of terrorism and extremism as its core position and sends a message to our brave youth within the country who have the will to fight against the terrorist group Taliban, as well as to the countries of the region who must remain vigilant and aware, that the National Resistance Front will not deviate from its historical mission of fighting terrorism and extremism in all their forms. Attempts by the enemies of the people of Afghanistan to distort the identity of the noble Tajik people will also be unsuccessful.
The National Resistance Front is the legacy of the first martyrs who were martyred in the fight against global terrorism, and even now, despite the world's indifference to the terrorism of the Taliban and ISIS, the National Resistance Front continues to fight all forms of terrorism with a clear historical stand.
