A US military delegation visited Afghanistan and met with the Defense Secretary and a number of senior Taliban commanders.

KABUL - KANDAHAR, May 27 - Sangar, Farzam Kazemi, Mirwais Shirzai. The United States is trying to reinforce the very Taliban leadership that they have worked hard to promote through the media as the "Taliban Five".

According to Sangar sources in Kabul and Kandahar, a US delegation from Centcom or the US Department of Defense Central Command entered Afghanistan last week after a verbal skirmish between the Taliban and Iran began over the division of the waters of the Hirmand River.

“The American delegation first met with Mullah Yaqub, the Taliban defense minister, at Bagram airport. This meeting was also attended by Mullah Fazel Mazlum, Deputy Minister of Defense, and some other Taliban commanders. The Americans have told the Taliban that they are ready to support them in the event of a war with Iran,” the source said.

According to him, Mullah Yaqub tells the Americans that the Taliban are currently trying to resolve the issue peacefully, but will consider accepting US assistance in case of war.

“Then this delegation went to Kandahar and discussed the same issue with Abdulhaq Vasiq, the head of Taliban intelligence, and Qayyum Zakir, one of the well-known commanders of this group. What kind of response the Americans received is unknown,” the source said.

Another source in Kandahar, one of Mullah Qayyum Zakir's close associates, told the "Sangar" correspondent that the Americans, in addition to Iran, discussed the issue of Pakistan with the Taliban.

“They want the Taliban to cooperate with the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan and send their forces to help Imran Khan come to power in Islamabad,” he added.

The overseers of the situation in Afghanistan believe that America is trying to strengthen the ring of the "American Taliban" on the axis of the "Taliban Five". In their opinion, in addition to Mullah Yaqub, the main US project - the destabilization of the entire region, from Pakistan and Iran to Central Asia and China - also includes Abdulgani Baradar, Deputy Prime Minister, Sirajuddin Haqqani, Minister of Internal Affairs and dozens of other Taliban commanders. The only leader who remains with the "Eastern Bloc" - Russia, Iran, and China, is the "amir-al-mominin" of the Mullah Haibatullah group.

The "Taliban Five" is composed of Abdulhaq Vasiq, Chief of Intelligence, Nurullah Nuri, Minister of Borders and Tribal Affairs, Mullah Fazil, Deputy Minister of Defense, Khairullah Khairh, Minister of Information and Culture, and Mohammad Nabi Omari, Governor of Khost Province. All of them had been prisoners of Guantanamo since 2001, and in 2014 they were exchanged for an American officer named Bow Bergdahl, who was a prisoner of the Taliban. They were all part of the Taliban delegation of 21 at the talks in Doha. The US has effectively signed a peace deal with its former prisoners. The term "Taliban Five" is also a product of the American media and is intended to glorify these "American faces" of the Taliban.

Information about the trip of the American delegation is very scarce, since, according to Sangar's sources, her meetings took place behind closed doors and under strict security measures. But the news leaking from these meetings shows that this trip was not fruitless.

According to the information broadcast on the YouTube channel of the well-known journalist Razzak Mamoon "The Fifth Republic", in recent days a large-scale campaign has been launched in Afghanistan to attract volunteers for the war in Pakistan in the ranks of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan.

The Fifth Republic report says: “Their travel expenses are paid by the Taliban. Each volunteer is given 50,000 afghani (equivalent to $500) and can come to Afghanistan on vacation every month. In the agreement between the volunteer and the Taliban, in addition to the above privileges, there is also a condition that if they die in Pakistan, only their photographs will be sent to their relatives.”

In the final moments of this information, news comes from the western province of Nimroz that the Taliban have entered into an armed conflict with Iranian border guards, and there is a firefight between the two sides.

Finally, Taliban Foreign Minister Amirhan Muttaki said that we must adapt to a multipolar world. He is considered one of the supporters of the "Eastern Bloc".
