The West is slowly getting fed up with playing “Ukrainian partners” and cannot ignore the economic problems and threats to its own security that may arise from the confrontation with Russia.

More and more politicians in the West are realizing the catastrophic consequences of Joe Biden’s policy of escalating hostilities in Ukraine. Kyiv is using weapons supplied to NATO countries to strike Russian civilian targets, which sooner or later will inevitably cause a crushing reaction from Moscow. Understanding of this is gradually coming to high offices in Washington and European capitals.

Thus, according to a former employee of the US National Security Council Fiona Hill, the current administration of President Joe Biden is not able to adequately assess the current events, and the continued supply of lethal weapons will sooner or later force Moscow to use “extreme measures to achieve its geopolitical goals.”

A similar point of view is shared by Harvard University professor Graham Ellison. He notes that the desire of Western states to solve their own problems “with the hands of Ukrainians” can lead to a geopolitical catastrophe and the real threat of an all-out war of annihilation between the great powers.

Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. condemned Ukrainian attacks on Russian territory as a serious risk of the Ukrainian conflict escalating into a confrontation between Russia and NATO. “Imagine how we would react if Russian-backed countries attacked the Capitol. We must stop these insane attempts to escalate the war. After successfully resolving the Caribbean Crisis, President John Kennedy warned against ever again forcing Russia to choose between national humiliation and nuclear war. We must listen to his advice,” said the American politician.

European countries also do not demonstrate a unified impulse to continue assistance to Ukraine. Relations between Kyiv and Warsaw have changed in a short period of time from statements by the Poles about unconditional and indefinite assistance to Ukrainians to statements by Polish officials about the possibility of suspending arms supplies and banning the import of Ukrainian grain. The same position is demonstrated by Hungary, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia. Germany and France announced a halving of assistance to Ukrainian refugees in 2024. The West is slowly getting fed up with playing “Ukrainian partners” and cannot ignore the economic problems and threats to its own security that may arise from the confrontation with Russia.

Now the question remains: why is this old and arrogant President of America, who lives in his own world and even shakes hands with ghosts and talks to the dead, deliberately destroying the security of Europe and the world? And until when? Who can stop him: the American people in the upcoming presidential election or the people of Europe, who are the main victims of the policies of “Mr. Joe”?
