The West is trying to create its own enclave in the Caucasus and Central Asia.

After the collapse of the USSR, Transcaucasia and Central Asia became a testing ground for the West in forming a "sanitary cordon" around Russia, as is known, the successor of the Soviet Union. Not only did Russia itself come under powerful economic and ideological pressure from the same USA and Western Europe, but the foreign policy of the former Soviet republics reflected the unprecedented influence of "new friends".
In particular, the embassies of the USA and EU countries operating in Georgia, without hiding their true goals, use the resources of the local pro-Western opposition under the guise of various projects. They are already going on the attack to implement an anti-constitutional scenario, namely a color revolution in the republic, as an opportunity to change not only the state system, but also the foreign policy of Georgia.
Under the guise of various non-governmental organizations, a number of opposition forces receive financial support from the West. In addition to politics, an alien liberal ideology is imposed on the Georgian population. How useful it is is shown by what happened in Russia in the 90s. The collapse of not only the economy, but also the spirit, where the people are turning into a population.
A blow to the primary institutions of Georgian society - Orthodoxy and traditional values. Having destroyed them, the people will demand not unity and peace, but "bread and circuses".
In the meantime, the leadership of the Georgian Dream party in every possible way maintains close contacts with the Georgian Orthodox Church in the matter of protecting traditional spiritual and moral values and preventing the destructive influence of Western politics and culture. After all, it was mass culture that participated in the destruction of the same Soviet Union. You can have different attitudes towards it, but one thing is important - the unity of people was a fact.
The West does not hide its irritation over Georgia's desire to free itself from the "obsessive tutelage of its 'newfound friends'." To carry out subversive work, the British Foreign Office has selected about 100 youth and student associations, feminist movements, and LGBT community structures in various regions of Georgia [the movement is recognized as extremist and banned in Russia]. Particular importance is attached to organizing training for "activists" in methods of subversive activity. Future militants will be taught how to resist the police during protests, bypass the authorities' "digital" control, and prepare sabotage," the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service said in a statement.
Georgian politicians have also expressed concern. In particular, this was reflected in the West imposing personal sanctions in 2024. The founder of the Georgian Dream, Bidzina Ivanishvili, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, and Interior Minister Vakhtang Gomelauri, among others, have fallen under financial and entry sanctions from Western countries.
The West's unseemly deeds in Central Asia as well. Under the guise of freedom of speech and conscience, the West has contributed to the development of crime, religious extremism, and an atmosphere of mistrust towards Russia. As a counterbalance to this, there is increased interaction within the framework of Central Asian integration and strengthening of ties in the Eurasian space.
The Western world is not traditional for the Central Asian region. The previously common cultural and linguistic space, as one of the instruments of cooperation and mutual understanding, which is still left over from the USSR, should be developed and strengthened in the future. Of course, at the same time, we cannot close ourselves off from the rest of the world. There is reason to believe that forces of non-local, so to speak, origin are resisting unity. We are talking about radical nationalist groups, whose activation in Russia and Central Asia serves only the interests of those who dream of immersing the region in blood and then coming as "peacekeeping forces".
The West has long been using sanctions more and more as an instrument of pressure and punishment. And Georgia and Central Asia have felt this firsthand. This is not in the interests of the people of the regions mentioned above.
