The crimes of occupation — from Gaza to Afghanistan — deny the very existence of the so-called “Islamic world”

The world — especially the Islamic world — shamelessly watches. The global superpowers shamelessly see and hear, yet don’t raise an eyebrow.

The tragedy of the century continues on the scorched land of Gaza, not to the drums of war, but to the cries of a child who died in their mother’s arms from hunger, thirst, and helplessness.

A little girl named Lian — only five years old — took her last breath while waiting in a bread line that never reached her. Her mother, Nawal, with trembling, exhausted hands, could only watch. Even her tears were gone — dried up by the suffocating Israeli blockade.

The people of Gaza, under a starless sky, in nights where the sound of missiles has become a lullaby for children, run through shattered streets in search of a piece of bread, a sip of water, a place to survive.

Meanwhile, the Israeli regime — corrupt, occupying, ruthless, and murderous — fires even at food lines. In those lines stand old men with canes, children with eyes full of terror, women who last saw their husbands in that very line.

And the world just watches. The global powers, who claim to stand for humanity, remain silent. Islamic nations — sitting on billions in capital, oil, weapons, and armies — are mute, blind, and voiceless. With dulled consciences, they simply observe the deaths of their fellow Muslims.

This is a tragedy of humanity. A tragedy in a world with 57 Islamic countries. A tragedy of the century — one that burns not only Gaza, but the very dignity of the world in the flames of Israeli occupation, backed by superpowers. And the Islamic world, as always, watches submissively and silently.

On the other side, extremist and terrorist Islamic groups such as the Taliban — who now rule Afghanistan — do not even allow people in mosques or madrasas to protest against Israel or show solidarity with the Palestinians.

Since their first days of seizing the country, the Taliban have been busy arresting, torturing, and degrading Afghan women and are actively trying to eliminate former, innocent military personnel.

Just as they have done throughout their more than 30-year existence, knowing only how to kill and torture the Muslim people of Afghanistan, and never offering anything else.
