One of the killed young man's relatives told the Sangar website that his name is Bilal, the son of Agha Mohammad, a resident of Hesarak village, Rukha district, Panjshir province, and worked as a secondary school teacher in the village.

“Last September, when the line of Hesarak fell, Bilal and three of his comrades - Samikhan, Miranshah, and Hasankhan, who were also residents of Hesarak, retreated to the side valley of Malimkhak. They climbed the highlands and continued to resist the Taliban for another three days and nights. The enemy sent additional forces to Malimkhak and entered the valley,” he said.

According to him, when the resistance fighters ran out of ammunition, Bilal said goodbye to his comrades and went to his house, but on the way in the ailaqs between the Nijrab district of Kapisa province and Panjshir was captured by the enemy and killed.

“He has a sick father. His five young children also left orphans. The history of this young man with his family is long and very painful,” he said.

The Panjshir battle lasted a week in the first decade of September 2021 and ended with the defeat of the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan's forces in the main valley. The resistance forces retreated into the side valleys and continue to fight to this day.

According to the National Resistance Front, about 400 people have been killed since the beginning of the Panjshir Wars, more than half of them were resistance fighters and civilians of the valley.

Over the past two months alone, resistance forces have carried out more than 48 attacks against the Taliban, as a result of which 22 enemy bases were captured, 62 of them were killed and 71 were wounded, were got 114 pieces of various types of weapons, 12 rangers - military vehicles were destroyed, 5 tanks of "Humvees" were set on fire. 7 fighters of the Taliban are currently being held captive by the resistance forces.
