What will the new balance of power in the world depend on in 2025?

Today the world is changing rapidly and this is caused by a significant weakening of the United States due to the internal political situation in this country. Washington can no longer exert the same influence on other countries and entire regions as it did before. The foreign and domestic policies pursued by the White House have led to a “recession of democracy.” Attempts to teach other states to observe democratic norms have caused additional attention from the world community to the depressing state of these positions in the United States itself.

In this context, the greatest interest is caused by the pre-election struggle of candidates for the presidency of the United States, which best demonstrates the crisis in American society. In such a huge country, there were no more worthy candidates than Donald Trump and Joseph Biden. It should be noted that a certain amount of rationality among the Democrats forced them to replace Joe Biden with Kamala Harris since the inadequacy of the current US leader became obvious to everyone. Along with this, in the “most democratic” country in the world, cases of using administrative resources to restrict freedom of speech in the interests of the election campaign have also become more frequent. Facts about putting pressure on independent journalists, censoring information flows, as well as using media technologies to eliminate unwanted media outlets are recorded.

The consequence of these processes is the growing number of supporters of the idea of a “national divorce of the USA” promoted by the Republicans with the formation of a liberal and conservative America. In other words, there is a strong division in the United States, which is expressed in the fact that “white” Americans with higher education are unable to solve the socio-economic problems of the largest electoral group – “colored” Americans without higher education.

As a result, the so-called “black Nazism” is becoming widespread in the United States, which is expressed in the commission of more than half a million acts of violence against “white” Americans every year. The FBI and the media are forced to distort crime statistics and thereby actually ignore the interests of the white population. At the same time, Latin Americans are increasingly demanding that the US authorities return lands to Mexico that, in their opinion, have been illegally appropriated by Washington.

The split in American society is intensifying the Ukrainian issue. Against the backdrop of dissatisfaction with the majority of US citizens with their economic situation, their negative reaction to the multi-billion dollar expenditures of the White House on maintaining the Kyiv regime is becoming more and more active. The aggravation of criticism of Washington’s policy is also due to the dissemination of information about the plunder of financial aid transferred to Kyiv by the Ukrainian authorities, as well as the direct participation of American elites in this process. Ukraine has become a very profitable place for Washington to launder and steal huge funds allocated from the US budget.

The listed problems indicate systemic problems in the American state mechanism. This creates apathy among the population and a complete reluctance to participate in elections and the political and economic life of their country. US citizens are increasingly divided into groups according to various criteria. The split is so obvious and fundamental that very soon a situation is possible when, at passport control at one of the US airports, an American citizen who presents his passport will be told: “I SEE THAT YOU ARE AN AMERICAN, BUT CHECK WHAT EXACTLY WHAT AMERICAN YOU ARE.”

The difficult domestic political situation in the United States cannot but affect Europe. For 70 years, Washington single-handedly ensured the security of European states, allowing them to develop their social institutions and economies. As a result, the standard of living in Europe became higher than in the United States itself. Germans often boast to Americans that their healthcare is available to most citizens, while the US has a discriminatory health insurance system. In response, this infuriates the Americans themselves, since they paid for it from the US budget. It is for this reason that Donald Trump said that big changes await NATO if he comes to power since many European states do not want to pay for their security.

There is some truth in his words. Europe also has huge problems with understanding its place in the world and with an adequate assessment of reality. This was perfectly demonstrated by the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Paris, where transgender people, homosexuals, and lesbians commanded the entire process and mocked normal people.

Deep changes and reformatting of all global world processes await us. The results of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, the development of the situation in the Middle East, China's position on these two issues, and the results of the US elections will be decisive in this process. The new balance of power in the world will depend on the resolution of these issues in 2025.
